Working on Wellbeing at Katherine Gorge

Year 12 Stars from Katherine High School were taken on an overnight Wellbeing Camp to the stunning Nitmiluk National Park, located on the tradition lands of the Jawoyn people.

The girls set up camp at the Ngangang Youth camping grounds before venturing out on a sunset hike to Baruewi Lookout at the western end of the ruggedly beautiful Katherine Gorge system.

After a challenging walk, dinner at Marksies Stockman Camp Tucker Night was a time for experimentation, with crocodile sausage rolls, camel sausages and wild barramundi with mango chutney on the menu!
