Jabiru Stars Program and Gundjeihmi Aboriginal Corporation’s Djidbi Djidbi College are working together to more fully engage our students through the sharing of cultural experiences.
This term our Stars have been taking part in Learning on Country once a week, alongside Djidbi Djidbi College boarders.
Last Thursday the girls were taken fishing and this week they went hunting – and snagged a very fat magpie goose!
It’s not all about having fun though, the students are also taking care of country. Three garbage bags full of plastic and rubbish were picked up from out bush and brought back to town for disposal.
Brilliant effort!
