Our Year 7 Thuringowa Stars were reminded that they are future leaders of their communities during their recent camp to Magnetic Island.
As part of our focus on Community, Culture and Leadership, the girls spent some time with local Traditional Owner, Aunty Pebs, walking through the bush, yarning together, and learning more about Wulgurukaba Country.
Aunty Pebs ended her time with the girls by reminding them that they are the next generation of leaders in their community, so it’s important that they stay in school, make good choices, and look after Country.
The Year 7 Camp was a wonderful learning experience and a great bonding activity for our young women as they begin their secondary education and continue to reach for the Stars!
