Heatley and Thuringowa Year 7s were taken on the Stars Year 7 Camp to Daradgee Environmental Education Centre in the Innisfail region of northern Queensland recently.
It was a great way for students from different programs to meet one another and be introduced to the Stars program.
They took part in a range of fun team-building activities, including ‘Faulty Towers’ (where students had to construct a tall tower out of plastic crates and then climb up it, working together as a team) and an Obstacle Course.
Strong, trusting relationships are at the heart of the Stars program, and it was wonderful to see students and Mentors forging stronger connections between each other.
