During the recent school holidays, six of our Year 11 Townsville Stars successfully gained their Marine Boat Licences.
The six young women committed some of their holiday time to participate in half a day of theory and half a day out on the water learning the ins and outs of driving a boat – and they are now allowed out on the water!
The Marine Boat Licence is a great qualification for our Stars to have, especially if they are interested in pursuing career pathways in the tourism and marine industries, both of which are significant employers in Townsville.
A huge thank you to the local Police & Community Youth Club for giving our young women such a fantastic opportunity!
