Stars programs from across the Northern Territory gathered at the Katherine Netball Courts for the annual Stars Netball Carnival last week, with some coming from as far away as Nhulunbuy in East Arnhem Land.
Despite the very hot, sticky weather, our Stars were able to push through and have a brilliant day of fun and competition.
As always, the focus was on the four Stars values – Respect, Honesty, Commitment and Pride – and our students displayed great teamwork and graciousness in winning or losing.
At the end of the carnival, each program chose a ‘Best Team Player’, recognizing a person in their team who had best represented the Stars values in their playing.
Everyone was treated to a delicious barbeque lunch at the end of the carnival, which gave our girls and young women a fantastic chance to mingle with Stars and Mentors from other programs.
