2024 Graduates

Daisy, Property and Construction Trainee, NT

Daisy graduated Year 12 in 2024 at Casuarina Senior College in Darwin and started 2025 proudly working full-time with a property development and construction company, DCOH.

Daisy completed a school-based Traineeship Certificate III in Business throughout her final school year. Her role consists of working on a construction site at the army barracks, processing personnel, and data entry.

Daisy was also proudly nominated for the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Award at the NT Training Awards. Daisy is pictured left above with DCOH Local Industry Capability Manager, Rowena Wong.

“Working with Yamatji Water as a trainee water technician is the perfect balance of office work, learning from experienced professionals and being on Country doing field work. Being able to travel around to Perth, Geraldton, Carnarvon and Exmouth is amazing, and the more I’m working the more my skillset and knowledge is growing,” said Daisy.

“My Stars Mentors attended both Training Awards events and have showed me their full support along the way. Stars gave me the opportunity to expand my networking skills by attending the Futures Forum. I was able to graduate Year 12 and earn the Rising Star Award. Without the support from Stars through Middle and Senior School, I wouldn’t be exposed to the opportunities that I am now experiencing.” said Daisy.
